Dave and Joanne go back a long way, they first met at a series of Rodney Howard Browne meetings back in London, England in 1995. They both simultaneously experienced a radical and life transforming impartation from these powerful meetings that literally caused their hearts to explode with joy unspeakable and full of Glory.
They both remained hooked up with this move of God and re-met again in 2000 in Newport, Wales at an evangelistic school they attended for a year. This established their friendship further and in 2006 they were part of a ministry called Emerge Wales where they saw the ‘Party of Heaven’ explode in Wales and extend not only into the nations but into the media like wildfire.
The Sun newspaper attended Emerge Wales yearly gathering ‘Sloshfest’ in January 2010 and wrote a more than complimentary article about what God was doing among them. This secular tabloid was astounded how Christians could get ‘High on God’ and party with no alcohol and drugs involved, calling them ‘Ravers for Jesus’.
Big Brother, a popular reality TV show in the UK, with more than 5 million viewers, followed soon after this in June 2010. The Big Brother house voted Dave in and soon the house became known for the first time in its history as the ‘House of Love’. Dave’s drunken lifestyle became a national phenomena and the stories, the testimonies, the changed lives that followed were outrageous, as God created a ‘new’ paradigm for a generation of pleasure seekers to see first hand that God is a happy, fun-loving, kind God, who loves everyone. The media explosion continued with the BBC, Loaded magazine and Big Brother housemates all attending the first ever Gloryfest gathering in January 2011 in Newport, Wales.
By now Emerge Wales had run its course and Dave and Jo had branched out with this new and fresh arm of ministry that the Lord had orchestrated by His grace. They re-named themselves The New Ecstatics due to the ecstatic delight that they found in His Presence alone. During this period their revelation of the gospel was evolving and being re-defined to embrace all mankind as they saw clearly through the recent events how God had already included everyone in His party.
Rivers of revelation began to engulf them and this new found vision and freedom in the gospel of delight sent them out to the nations to preach and share the Good News, now seeing regions impacted by the love of God. Dave and Joanne find themselves caught up in a whirlwind of discovery and adventure as they continue to preach the gospel globally and follow the bliss wherever it leads. Their hearts are overflowing with the love of God and they share a passion for the gospel, for the nations, for the poor and for family.
The New Ecstatics will soon be opening their first orphanage in the Philippines, rescuing children from a life on the garbage dumps; again this came about miraculously as God’s grace flooded their hearts for the poor. They have journeyed together in the Lord for more than 15 years and value and respect one another’s callings and gifts from God above their own. They truly honour and love one another and feel that God has caused their hearts to be knit together in the gospel. Dave and Joanne share an outrageous love for the new wine of His presence and consider living in union with God their greatest joy in life. Ministry for them is an extension of family.
They manifest great joy, supernatural signs and wonders wherever they go and release a heavy trance glory that not only intoxicates but transforms lives. They have forever entered the rest that the gospel brings and are committed to ever increasing evolving in the gospel until Christ is literally seen in them.
